Jonas Arvidsson – Guitars
Started this band together with Dan. Have been the motor of several bands before The Rockford Hereos, most recently in the now abandoned VII Gates. Find great pleasure in making songs which might sound easy to play, but make the fellow musicians to become very frustrated from time to time, when a new song have to be learned. But this have been proved to be a pretty good way of doing things; In 2005, the song “Bounded by hate” (from VII Gates first album “Fire, walk with me”) got the third place in a heavy metal version of ESC, arranged by Esckaz. And this ahead of bands such as Iron Maiden, Running Wild and Stratovarius. A more detailed presentation can be read here.
Dan Hultstrand – Vocals
Started this band together with Jonas. Have been working with his vocals for his whole life. This might be a very tough fact to handle for most people, because it might show how much time and energy you must put in to became such a good vocalist. But for those who have the pleasure to to play together with Dan, it’s a blessing. There are probably none or very few notes every recorded which Dan can’t sing. Dan is also composing a lot of the music for The Rockford Heroes along with Jonas, and is also responsible for the rehearsal room. The later might sound like a piece of cake, but it isn’t.
Marcus Johansson – Drums
Marre is that kind of drummer who just like Keith Moon think that the drums should be placed at the very front of the stage. And this is, in his case, just right. Even very skilled drummers would probably not manage to copy all Marres very intense playing and show tricks even if they where playing air drums. Rock’n’roll to every finger tip and curls in his hair. Except from playing in The Rockford Heroes, Marcus is also a member of the AOR band Titan and a new band called Reach which, except from Marcus, mostly consists of members from Houston. They are looking for new lead singer now. So if you feel that it should be you, or know someone you think would be a good choice, please get in touch!
Erik Carlsson – Bass
There isn’t much known about Erik and his previous activities. Just as with most of the previous bass players who fit very well into the band, Erik is from the very north parts of Sweden. One day he showed up in the rehearsal room and have stayed since then. Just as with the previous bass players from the north of Sweden, the rest of the band have been struggling to understand some of the very “unique” linguistic constructions those people tend to use. But at least until now, in January 2013, this haven’t caused any serious confusions. Erik can also be counted as one of those might-be-sane-minded persons who refuse to get himself a Facebook account. Might be wise. Or you lose some communion. E.g, it’s not possible to invite him when an event for a gig is created.
