Tänkte idag bara tipsa om en dokumentär om Ritchie Blackmore i fem delar som finns på YouTube:

Själv tyckte jag att det var två saker som stack ut lite extra.

Det ena var att han berättar att han aldrig någonsin rökt, vilket jag antar är relativt ovanligt. Men det är då något jag har gemensamt med honom. Nu är det förmodligen fler saker som spelat in när Ritchie har blivit bättre än någon annan på att spela gitarr (när han är på det humöret vill säga), men det känns ändå som om jag är på rätt väg!

Det andra är ett uttalande från Ritchie i del 2 efter ca tolv och en halv minut: “we’re not brilliant songwriters, you know, I write most of the stuff, but I think some of it stinks. But we get away with it because we are such good musicians”.

Personally, I found two details particulary intresting.

The first thing was that he tells that he never smoked anything, which a guess is a pretty rare ability. Which I happen to share with him…. Of course, there are probably several more reasons which made Ritchie become someone who plays guitar better than anyone else (when he’s in the right mood…) but I can still feel that I’m on the right way!

The second is a quote from Ritchie in part 2, approximately after 12 minutes and 30 seconds: “we’re not brilliant songwriters, you know, I write most of the stuff, but I think some of it stinks. But we get away with it because we are such good musicians”.
