Kontor New Media YouTube
Lately I’ve been receiving several emails från Google, all with the same content. A german company called Kontor New Media consider themself to have the copyright to material I’ve uploaded to YouTube.

There are of course countless videos on YouTube which the uploader certainly have not right to upload. Honestly, I consider YouTube to be the best music archive out there. Even if you can’t find a song on services like GrooveShark or Spotify, usually you can still find it on YouTube.

But this is not the case here. The copyright claims Kontor New Media have done are about songs with The Rockford Heroes and VII Gates. Songs where I written both music and lyrics, owns the pics used in the videos and recorded the songs on my own, or payed for the recordings.

Google explain in a pretty easy way how to dispute those claims, and I really recommend you to do so if you experienced what I have! If Kontor New Media, or similar companies, get enough of counter attacks, they might hopefully stop with those silly things. I have no idea if this is a serious company in other ways, but this is a very bad behaviour.

Edit 3: First of all, I know very well that it might have been more logical to place #3 after #1 and #2. But as it is, this is still the third update to this post, but also the most important one. READ THIS FIRST! YouTube’s system with Content ID is still something strange, but for us, it was just a missconception

Edit: Found two videos (on YouTube!! :)) about this. Please watch! Video 1 and video 2

Edit 2: Found another very good an detailed article on this subject, YouTube Copyfraud and abuse of the Content ID system, posted by fairusetube.org. This system is clearly even worse than I first thought. While the claim is processed, it is the company who claims the copyright who have the right to collect ad income from the video. And the process itself it not much to celebrate. It is again the company who claimed the copyright who decides if they withdraw their claims, or just confirm their “right”. End of story. Does it sound strange? It most certainly is.

Kontor New Media YouTube

:)). Kolla igenom dessa! Video 1 och video 2

Edit 2: Hittade en annan väldigt bra och detaljerad artikel i ämnet, YouTube Copyfraud and abuse of the Content ID system, postad på fairusetube.org.
