It might not be unfair to suggest that my view of drummers is somewhat complicated.. But I guess that it is as with women, “can’t live with them, can’t live without them”. Even though it’s easier to tell jokes about drummers, they are not that huffish in general.

When we rehearsed this wednesday, my intention wasn’t to make any jokes. Rather the opposite. I showed, at least from my own point of view, only kind attention. Know that Marcus wouldn’t have time to eat before the rehearsal. So I made some pancakes and brought them with me. As you can see, he looked pretty satisfied.

But I had no idea that this would made him play so furious that he started to bleed. And this by hitting his cymbals cross-armed. I will post a video in a few weeks, where Marcus will show how to do this.

I guess this is a variation of the classic prepare-small-fish-with-alcohol-and-feed-seagulls. Then it looks very funny when they try to fly. But this should make you curious about what recipe I use when I make pancakes.

…Det är ibland kanske inte helt orimligt att tro att jag har ett speciellt förhållande till trummisar. Men det är väl som med kvinnor, “can’t live with them, can’t live without them”. Även om trummisar är lite tacksammare att skämta med, i allmänhet inte lika snarstuckna.

När vi repade i onsdags hade jag dock inte alls för avsikt att skämta. Tvärtom så visade jag, om jag får säga det själv, prov på ganska mycket omtanke. Visste att Marcus inte skulle hinna äta innan repet. Så jag stekte lite pannkakor och tog med. Som ni ser verkar han ganska nöjd med det.

Vad jag dock inte räknat med var att det skulle tagga honom så till den milda grad att han slog händerna blodiga. Det skedde dessutom när han gjorde en “korsarmad crash-markering”. Kommer att komma en video här om några veckor som visar hur det går till.

Det är väl en variant på den klassiska preparera-småfisk-med-alkohol-och-mata-fiskmåsar. Ser väldigt kul ut när dom försöker flyga sen. Men ni bör nu alltså vara nyfikna på receptet till mina pannkakor 😉
