There’s still hope for the future!Det finns hopp för framtiden!

One can very easily and habitually accuse politicians to be square-minded, living inside an fictional buble, boring, don’t understand younger people and just talk and talk without doing anything. And it’s certainly justifiable sometimes.

With that in mind, I was very happy to read about a project in the Stockholm suburbian Fisksätra (ok, I know it belongs to Nacka). This district needs a lot of refurbishment.

Since this is a long-term project, those who decide have realized that the input from the youth is important. That by itself is commendable. But even better is that they have built a modell of Fisksätra in the very popular computer game Minecraft. And then the kids can build their own visions of Fisksätra, and easily show their result.

Just splendid. Combining politics and computer games in a way that engage the youth, who probably find this just as fun as playing any other computer game, and still really make something useful. We want more of that!
