Runt det imaginära bordetAround the imaginary table

På de senaste jobben jag har haft brukar vi någon gång i veckan, på ett lämpligt möte, köra en snabbis runt bordet där samtliga får berätta vad dom pysslat med under senaste veckan. Tänkte att det kanske kunde vara något att ha även här? Jag menar, jag har ju ändå plockat med mig en hel del projektledningskunskaper från IT-jobb in i bandet. Ni skulle se mina färgglada Excel-dokument… Inte så mycket rock’n’roll med dom direkt!

Nåväl, en snabb vända “runt bordet”:

Marcus: Har repat och varit på audition för ett nytt spännande projekt som förhoppningsvis kommer att ta mig utomlands då och då. Fler detaljer kommer!

Erik: Har jobbat på nytt material till nästa skiva. Grundstrukturer och huvudsakliga teman/riff/sångmelodier börjar sitta där, men det är en hel del detaljarbete kvar.

Dan: Mest fokus på cover-biten. Förutom att sjunga in en massa nya körer till några backingtracks så har jag även provat på hur kombinationen alkohol och Finlands-båtar funkar.

Jonas: Det har väl mest varit jobb med våra backingtracks. Har funderat och frågat runt, men det verkar inte finnas något riktigt bra sätt som gör att man får jämn volym på allting. Så vi får helt enkelt testa oss fram till en lagom nivå, låt för låt…

Ja, någonting sånt? Uppföljning nästa vecka!On my last couple of work occupations we have usually once a week had a spot where everyone around the table should tell shortly about what they have been up to the previous week. And thought that this maybe could be something to post here as well? I mean, I’ve already used a lot of project leading knowledge from my work in this band. You should see my coloured Excel sheets… Not exactly what people associate with rock’n’roll!

So, a quick round:

Marcus: Have been rehearsing and auditioning material for a new exciting project which hopefully will give me some international experience. More details will follow!

Erik: Have been working on songs for the next album. The main characteristics of the songs are there, but there are a lot to work on with the details.

Dan: The most of my focus have actually been on the cover songs. Except from recording a lot of backing vocals for our backing tracks, I’ve also tried out the combination of alcohol and a ferry to Finland.

Jonas: I have also mostly been working with the backing tracks. Have spend a lot of time thinking and ask more experienced sound technicians but it doesn’t seem like there’s a good way to get the same level on all backing tracks. So we have to try this manually, song by song…
