The only thing that matters in the end?Det enda som egentligen räknas?

Mike Portnoy (ex-drummer in Dream Theater, if you didn’t know) was recently interviewed by Nosisecreep.com

In the interview, there is one incredibly funny quote: “Even my wife, who’s been through it all with me, says it’s the best stuff she’s ever heard me play on. I played in Dream Theater for 25 years, plus some other pretty decent bands including Avenged Sevenfold, so that’s really saying something.”

It really does? You play rock music to satisfy your wife 🙂 Like an english man would have put it, “hm, that’s an intresting idea”. Which, with their sense and like of using understatements, means something completely different.

The first thing that comes to my mind is David St Hubbins wife in “This is Spinal Tap“.

Mike Portnoy (f.d trummis i Dream Theater, om någon missat det) intervjuades nyligen på Noisecreep.com

Där finns ett riktigt festligt citat: “”Even my wife, who’s been through it all with me, says it’s the best stuff she’s ever heard me play on. I played in Dream Theater for 25 years, plus some other pretty decent bands including Avenged Sevenfold, so that’s really saying something.”

Eller hur? Man spelar rockmusik för att göra frun nöjd 🙂 Som engelsmännen skulle sagt, “hm, that’s an interesting theory”. Vilket, med deras användning av underdrifter, betyder någonting helt annat…

Själv tänker jag mest på David St Hubbins fru i “This is Spinal Tap“.
